Efflorescence Counselling

A place to bloom, unfold and move into a fuller expression of oneself.

I am  qualified counsellor and the founder of Efflorescence Counselling. I hold a diploma in therapeutic counselling and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have been practicing for a little over 2 years, offering support to adults and young people.

Alongside my private practice, i work in a women's center, supporting women recovering from domestic violence. This work has deepened my understanding of the many ways trauma can shape our sense of safety, identity and self-trust - and how healing often begins in spaces where we feel truly seen and supported.

The word efflorescence means "the process of flowering" - a quiet but powerful unfolding. When I was choosing a name for my counselling practice, I kept returning to this image: of something beginning to bloom after being formant, of bringing life to what has felt stuck, hidden or forgotten.

That's what this space is about.

Efflorescence Counselling is for anyone who has been surviving for a long time and is now wondering what it might be like to live. For those who have carried trauma, self-doubt, or the feeling that they've had to mask their true self to fit in. It's a space where you don't have to rush, pretend, or prove anything - just bring whatever you're holding, and we will work through it together.

This work isn't about becoming someone else. It's about returning to yourself - with gentleness, curiosity, and care. Growth can be slow. It can be painful. But it can also be beautiful.

Let's begin where you are.
